Squalane

What it is
Squalane is a lightweight moisturizing oil that mimics some of the natural lipids found in the skin. It helps soften and smooth without feeling heavy or greasy.

Why we use it
We use squalane to help replenish softness and reduce the dry, tight feeling that can come with a compromised moisture barrier. Its silky texture provides nourishment while still allowing a formula to feel elegant and non-greasy.

Good to know
Squalane is an emollient, which means it helps fill in the tiny spaces between dry skin cells so the surface feels smoother, softer, and more comfortable.

The Lotus Standard
